Keeping Boston Safe: Suspect in Custody After Search Warrants Lead to the Recovery of a Loaded Firearm, Drugs and Cash in Mattapan

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 9:45 AM on Monday September 30, 2019, members of the Drug Control Units assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) and District E-5 (West Roxbury) made an onsite arrest while recovering a loaded firearm, drugs and cash during an investigation in Mattapan. The officers applied for and were granted search warrants for the target of their investigation, Lynden Scott, 30, of Brockton, as well as his motor vehicle and a residence on Wildwood Street in Mattapan. The officers performed a traffic stop after observing the suspect exit the residence and enter his motor vehicle. Upon seeing the officers approaching, the suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to flee but was placed in custody after brief foot pursuit. Officers then performed a search and recovered a loaded 9mm Taurus PT111 handgun from a mechanical “hide” inside the vehicle. The officers later recovered approximately 24 grams of crack cocaine from the suspect during the booking process. Officers simultaneously performed a search of the residence which led to the recovery of 8 suboxone strips, $629.00 in U.S. Currency along with other evidence consistent with the packaging and selling of illegal street drugs.

The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on multiple charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Trafficking Class B Drugs.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Suspect in Custody After Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Loaded Firearm and Drugs in East Boston

SAFER BOSTON: At about 7:15 PM on Thursday June 27, 2019, officers assigned to the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit arrested Carlique President, 32, of Mattapan, on firearm and drug related charges in the area of 290 William McClellan Highway in East Boston. The officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the suspect in Dorchester District Court as part of an ongoing drug distribution investigation. The officers observed the suspect as he was operating a motor vehicle at which time they performed a traffic stop. The officers then secured the suspect and conducted their search which led to the recovery of a loaded .45 caliber Ruger SR45 handgun as well as several small bags of crack cocaine from inside the vehicle. The suspect was placed in custody without incident and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs and Possession of Class B Drugs.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Suspect in Custody After Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Drugs and Cash in Roslindale

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 10:35 AM on Thursday May 23, 2019, officers assigned to the District E-18 (Hyde Park) Drug Control Unit arrested Cesario Soto Cueto, 30, of Roslindale on drug related charges during an investigation in the area of Harrison Avenue in Roslindale. Officers simultaneously executed search warrants for the suspect, his motor vehicle and his residence which led to the recovery of more than 1,620 grams of fentanyl and $5,179 in U.S. Currency. The suspect was placed in custody on scene without incident and will appear in West Roxbury District Court on charges of Trafficking Class A Drugs.

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Drugs and Cash in Hyde Park: In ongoing efforts to stem the flow of illegal drugs in Boston, members of the District C-6 (South Boston) Neighborhood Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 15 Valencia Road in Hyde Park. At about 11:04am, on Monday, May 13, 2019, officers entered the above-mentioned location peacefully and without incident. Once inside, officers located and confiscated over $5,600 in US Currency, several Class B Drugs (Ecstasy) in pill form, six large plastic bags of a Class D Drug (Marijuana), as well as, various drug packaging materials including additional plastic bags and a digital scale. Additionally, officers arrested Adam Francia, 25, of Boston and charged him with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (Ecstasy) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs (Marijuana).

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Leads to One Arrest, Recovery of Firearm, Drugs and Cash in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 12:49 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2019, members of the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 460 Quincy Street in Dorchester. As a result, officers recovered the following items: a Jennings Model J22 firearm, one  round of live ammunition, multiple plastic bags containing cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. 

Officers arrested Angel Villar-Sanchez, 27-years-old, of Dorchester. Villar-Sanchez is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Two in Custody After Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Two Firearms in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 5:05 AM, on Monday, April 22, 2019, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force and BPD SWAT Team executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation in the area of 6 Michigan Avenue in Dorchester. As a result, officers were able to safely locate and recover two guns (1) a 9mm Marlin Firearms Model 9 Rifle, (2) a 12-gauge Mossberg 500A Shotgun (see photo) and several loose rounds of ammunition found in various locations within the residence. As a result of the items found, a 21-year-old female and a 16-year-old male were taken into custody on scene without incident.

Both parties have since been arraigned in Dorchester District Court. The female was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts) and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition while the juvenile male was charged with Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Leads to One Under Arrest, Recovery of Firearm, Ammunition, Drugs, and Cash in Jamaica Plain

 

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 11:20 AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, members of the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) and E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Units assisted by the Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant of an individual in the area of Lamartine Street and Cerina Road in Jamaica Plain. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered approximately 2.2 grams of crack cocaine and approximately .7 grams of Fentanyl. Officers placed the suspect under arrest at this time.

Additionally, officers secured a second search warrant of the suspect’s residence on Greenley Place in Jamaica Plain. At approximately 4:43 PM, officers entered the residence and executed the search warrant. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered the following items: a 9mm Springfield Armory xp9 semi-automatic firearm loaded with eight rounds of live ammunition, forty-five shotgun shells, twenty-eight rounds of .40 caliber live ammunition, an undisclosed amount of US Currency, approximately 58 grams of Fentanyl, and approximately 27 grams of crack cocaine in total. 

Officers arrested Apahlo Sullivan, 23-years-old, of Jamaica Plain. Sullivan is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on charges including: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Class A Drugs over 36 grams, Trafficking Class B Drugs Over 18 grams, multiple counts of Distribution of Class A Drugs and Distribution of Class B Drugs.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Yields Recovery of Firearm, Ammunition, Drugs and Cash in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At approximately 11:33 AM on Monday, April 8, 2019 members of the District C-6 (South Boston) and B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Units executed a search warrant of a residence in the area of 41 Evans Street in Dorchester. As a result, the following items were recovered: 9 MM Ruger semi-automatic firearm loaded with three rounds of live ammunition, over three -hundred and fifty rounds of live ammunition, multiple bags of a substance believed to be cocaine, approximately four ounces of marijuana, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. 

Officers arrested Malcolm Hall, 29-years-old, of Dorchester and Alexander Leviner, 54-years-old, of Dorchester. Hall is charged with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs. Leviner is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Class A Drugs. Both are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Two Firearms, Ammunition, and Drugs Recovered Following Traffic Stop in Dorchester

 

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 12:20 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2019, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) made an onsite arrest and recovered two illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs, and cash in the area of 9 Gallivan Boulevard in Dorchester. While on patrol in the area of the above location, officers observed a motor vehicle operating with excessive window tints. Officers conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the operator, an inquiry of the operator’s license led to the discovery that it had been suspended. At this time, the operator was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the following items: Smith & Wesson Bodyguard, semi-automatic .380 caliber firearm loaded with six rounds of live ammunition, Sig Sauer P938, semi-automatic, .380 caliber firearm loaded with five rounds of live ammunition, a Glock magazine loaded with thirteen rounds of live ammunition, approximately 254 grams of cocaine, approximately 121 grams of a crack cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. 

Kaynan Yassim, 25-years-old, of Quincy was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges including two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large CPACITY Feeding Device, Trafficking Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance, and Operating with a Suspended License.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant of Roxbury Apartment Leads to Recovery of Loaded Firearm, Ammunition, Drugs and Cash

 

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 6:15 PM on Friday, March 29, 2019, members of the District B-3 (Mattapan) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant in the area of 5 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered the following items: a Springfield Armory 1911 .45 caliber firearm loaded with five rounds of live ammunition, ninety-two rounds of live ammunition, multiple plastic bags containing a substance believed to be marijuana, a stolen scooter, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. The male suspect was taken into custody at the scene.

Officers arrested Salomon Guerrero Jr., 28-years-old, of Roxbury. Guerrero Jr. is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Substance, and Receiving Stolen Property. 

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Yields Recovery of Loaded Firearm in Roxbury

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 8:10 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, members of the District C-6 (South Boston) and E-13 (Jamaica Plain) Drug Control Units executed a search warrant in the area of 33 School Street in Roxbury.

As a result, officers recovered the following items: a Springfield Armory XD .45 caliber firearm loaded with fourteen rounds of live ammunition and sixty-nine rounds of live ammunition. 

Officers arrested Samuel Bordoy, 24-years-old, of Dorchester. Bordoy is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. 

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Officers Arrest Hyde Park Man on Weapon and Drug Charges

 

At about 10:08 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, officers assigned to the District E-18 (Hyde Park) Drug Control Unit, arrested Dreshaun Johnson, 20, of Hyde Park, on a warrant issued out of West Roxbury District Court for Distribution of Class A, Drugs (Heroin),

After several months of investigations, officers observed Dreshaun Johnson enter a motor vehicle in the area of 317 Wood Avenue and conducted a traffic stop of that motor vehicle in the area of 164 Wood Avenue.  Officers removed Dreshaun Johnson from the motor vehicle and located several plastic baggies of illegal narcotics on his person.

Officers also conducted a search warrant of Dreshaun Johnson’s residence and seized the following items: 1 Smith and Wesson revolver, several rounds of ammunition, and other drug paraphernalia.

Dreshaun Johnson was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking; Class A, Drugs (Fentanyl), and Distribution of Class B, Drugs (Cocaine).  He will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Yields Recovery of Stolen Firearm and Ammunition in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 1:14 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, detectives and officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan), assisted by the members of the SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the area of 11 Chamberlain Street in Dorchester as part of an active and ongoing investigation. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered a black Glock semi-automatic firearm reported stolen out of North Carolina, a fully loaded high capacity extended feeding device, and multiple rounds of live ammunition.

Officers arrested Keion Rowell Jr., 19-years-old, of Dorchester. Rowell Jr. is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device, and Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon.

Further Investigation revealed the suspect to have an active warrant out of Dedham District Court for charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage, Marked Lanes Violation, Speeding, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Failure to Stop for Police, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Yields Discovery of Firearms and Drugs in Dorchester

 

At about 11:16 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019, detectives assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) executed a search warrant in the area of 472 Washington Street in Dorchester.  As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered the following items: a Bryco Jennings 9mm Firearm loaded with eleven rounds of live ammunition, a Colt MK IV Series 70 Firearm loaded with four rounds of live ammunition, six small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be heroin, three small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be Fentanyl, and three small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be crack.  

Officers arrested Dequell Golson, 26-years-old, of Dorchester. Golson is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on multiple charges including two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Drugs, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs, Possession of Class A Drugs, and two counts of Possession of Class B Drugs.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: One Under Arrest After Execution of Search Warrant Yields Recovery of Loaded Firearms, Drugs, and Cash in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 6:30 PM on Monday, February 25, 2019, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, District C-11 (Dorchester) Drug Control Unit, and agents assigned to the ATF executed a search warrant in the area of 5 Salisbury Park in Dorchester and 1 Aspinwall Road in Dorchester. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered a silver Taurus .38 Special Revolver loaded with five rounds of live ammunition, a black Smith and Wesson Revolver loaded with five rounds of live ammunition, approximately 17 grams of Fentanyl, 4 grams of cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency. 

Officers arrested Raymond Clary, 29-years-old, of Dorchester. Clary is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Subsequent Offense, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Fentanyl over 10 Grams, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine. 

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Following a Call for Shots Fired, Officers Arrest Juvenile Male for the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

 

KEEPING BOSTON SAFE: At about 1:23PM, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 72 Elm Hill Avenue in Dorchester. While en route to the call, officers observed the suspect turn and begin to run down the hill. In response, officers gave chase and observed the suspect pull a black object, which appeared to be a firearm, from his waist band area. The suspect then extended his right arm in a throwing motion with the firearm still in his hand and discarded the weapon into the rear area of 40 Crawford Street.  Officers were able to quickly and safely recover the loaded Black Cobra .380 caliber firearm. 

The 17-year-old juvenile male from Roxbury was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within 500' of a Dwelling.   

He will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.

Keeping Boston Safe: Officers in Mattapan Arrest One Suspect on Firearm and Drug Related Charges

At about 6:07 PM, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 55 Evelyn Street, Mattapan. While processing the scene officers made an onsite arrest for firearm and drug related offenses. 

Officers observed Tyson Cooper, 31-years-old, of Mattapan, attempting to conceal an item in a neighboring backyard by tossing a bag in a plastic trash barrel. Officers removed the backpack and recovered a loaded firearm inside.  After thoroughly searching the backpack, officers located a second loaded firearm in a rear pocket along with two plastic bags of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, and a plastic bag with four individual bags containing a white hard rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine.

Officers arrested Cooper and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts), Carrying a Loaded Firearm (2 Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, Drugs, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Drugs. 

Tyson Cooper will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

 

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Jamaica Plain Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges

At about 9:18 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2019, officers assigned to District E-13 Drug Control Unit (Jamaica Plain) and District C-6 Drug Control Unit (South Boston), executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation in the area of 53 Forest Hills Street, Jamaica Plain. As a result of their efforts, officers were able to recover a large amount of Class A Drugs (Fentanyl), Class B Drugs (Crystal Meth), $7,000 in U.S Currency, and Drug Paraphernalia.   

Jorge Ramirez-Diaz, 46, of Jamaica Plain was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class A Drugs and Trafficking Class B Drugs. He will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.

 

Keeping Boston Safe: Ongoing Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest and Recovery of Firearm & Drugs in Roxbury

At about 4:50 am on January 15, 2019, as a result of an ongoing drug investigation, the District B2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, City-Wide Drug Control Unit and the Boston Police SWAT team executed two search warrants, one for 5 Cardington Street, apartment.#1 and a second search warrant for the person of Rufus Davis, 52, of Roxbury.

The SWAT team made its entry and located Davis, who attempted to flee from a bathroom at which time officers took Davis into custody without incident. Once the apartment was deemed clear and safe the drug unit informed Davis that officers were there with a search warrant for Davis and his apartment.

A search of Davis and the apartment was conducted and officers recovered the following items:

A black Hi Point .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm with black electrical tape on the handle and 7 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition in the magazine.

A black digital scale

6 Suboxone strips

2 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition

15 plastic bags of marijuana

13 plastic bags of crack cocaine

As a result of the execution of the warrants, Davis will be charged with the following: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession Firearm 2nd and Subsequent Violation, Armed Career Criminal Level II, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute as well as Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute Subsequent Offense.





Keeping Boston Safe: Execution of Search Warrant Leads to Recovery of Firearm, Drugs and Cash in Jamaica Plain

Keeping Boston Safe: As a result of a months-long investigation, members of the District E-18 (Hyde Park) and District A-7 (East Boston) Drug Control Units working in partnership the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at 42 Forbes Street in Jamaica Plain.

As a result of the search, the following items were recovered:

·       508 grams of a Class A narcotic (Fentanyl)

·       A loaded Smith and Wesson 357 magnum firearm

·       Several rounds of ammunition

·       Over a $1,300 in US Currency

·       A digital scale and several other items commonly associated and used in the drug trade

Additionally, officers arrested Abel Pagan, 38, of Boston and charged him with Trafficking a Class A Drug (Fentanyl) Over 200 grams, Trafficking a Class A Drug Within 300 Feet of a School Zone, Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
